Hello, my name is Sandra Hughes,

and I want to share my story with you.

With more than 20 years in both the business and nonprofit worlds, I learned strategic planning, execution, relationship building, complex negotiations, hiring and mentoring on the job. Today, I am a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach with an MBA in management with a concentration in leading people and organizations from Santa Clara University. This unique experience and skill set allow me to analyze a business and to help you understand how to maximize growth.

 

I ALSO KNOW THAT IT’S NOT JUST OUR BUSINESS ACUMEN THAT MAKES US SUCCESSFUL.

 

The ability to deal with the stresses and difficult transitions of everyday life is also critical. The integration of the different facets of our life and our resilience when dealing with the difficulties define our ability to lead.

Around 2009, being urged by my daughter, I joined Facebook and reconnected with some of my childhood friends. I was back in the fold in no time, except I began to realize that I had really changed. In the 30 years since leaving high school for Wellesley College, I had lost myself. In putting everyone else’s needs ahead of my own, my life was completely out of balance.

As my daughters finished high school and started college, I headed to graduate school. I knew my experience in the corporate world was valuable and I quickly decided that my next chapter would be as an entrepreneur. As my youngest daughter left for college, I realized my marriage was over. After much reflection, I divorced after 27 years of marriage.

 

DIVORCE CHALLENGED ME MENTALLY, EMOTIONALLY, AND FINANCIALLY.

 

I needed to grieve, sort through the financial aspects of my life, take care of my daughters, all while starting a new business. My business background and my coaching training served me well. My divorce served as a master class in navigating difficult transitions. Now I’m passionate about sharing what I learned because I know I can make your journey easier.

PROFESSIONAL BIO

I have an MBA from Santa Clara University with a concentration in Leading People and Organizations. I am a member of the International Coaching Federation, ICF, and received my CPCC at the Coaches Training Institute, an internationally recognized coaching certification program. I live in the Bay Area.

I received my BA in Political Science from Wellesley College. Much of my professional experience, especially at Gap, Inc., was mentoring women and men. What gives me the most satisfaction from my previous career is where the people that I hired and mentored are today.

Today I am passionate about creating a supportive environment for entrepreneurs and business owners who are moving to the next level and need to address both business and personal issues.
